Home Hair Treatments to Rescue Your Hair and Scalp

Looking to tackle pesky hair concerns without blowing your budget? These easy, affordable treatments all use household remedies that you probably already have at home. While some may utilize your blender — check out the banana mask below — others are as simple as a single ingredient that will get your hair style ideas, whether you suffer from dry hair, fine hair, an itchy scalp, or dandruff.

If you aren't a DIY'er, don't stress: We've also included shoppable options to cure your hair woes. Either way, you'll have lust-worthy hair in no time.
I am the resident lazy person of my friend group, but if you saw my hair every day, you probably wouldn’t know it. Seriously, by the time I’m finally done snoozing my alarm in the a.m., I have about five or ten minutes before I need to get my ass out the door, which gives me just enough time to put together one of the ~many~ easy, lazy hairstyles I’ve perfected over the years.

Whether I twirl a flat iron through my lob for some quick waves or I opt for a super-sleek braid, my hair looks pretty damn good for how long I actually spend on it (umm, three minutes? Ish). And in the spirit of sharing and caring, I'm helping you get on my level by breaking down 15 incredibly easy hairstyles that you can do within 5 to 10 minutes. Yes, I'm enabling your lazy-AF habits, but, hey, at least you'll have really, really good hair.

Sure, we've all leaned on a messy bun in a time crunch, but this easy topknot hairstyle is so much cooler (and just as easy). All you’ll need is a brush, bobby pins, and a lightweight wax or gel to keep your flyaways nice and smooth. Trust me when I say you’ll only need two or three minutes to perfect this look. Yup, even your lazy, lazy self can get Kim-at-the-Met hair, as long as you have the right products (and, fine, a team of professional stylists, but let's ignore that). Just spritz your dry hair with water—you want it to be damp but not soaking wet—then rake a golfball-size puff of alcohol-free mousse through your curls for definition and shine, lightly scrunching from the bottom up until the mousse is distributed.

To prevent frizz, try to let your hair totally dry before rushing out the door (pro tip: put on your makeup, brush your teeth, and get dressed while you’re waiting for it to set).
The best part about this easy hairstyle is that you can do it on damp hair straight out of the shower if you don't have time to blow-dry it first. First, split your hair in half from ear to ear, then twist the upper half into a bun. Secure the bun with a few bobby pins, and let the rest of your hair hang loose. To get some extra volume, blast your roots with a texturizing spray before and after styling.
